Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK 918-786-2261. Donald LaVerne Madison, 79 year old resident of Grove, Oklahoma, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 28, 2017. Donald was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on October 27, 1937. He was the son of Haskell and Lura Bell (Monroe) Madison. Donald proudly served in the United States Army. Donald worked for Safeway Grocery Stores as a butcher in the meat department. Donald and Joan moved to the Grove area sixteen years ago. They were very active members of the First Baptist Church, where he very much enjoyed attending Sunday school class. Donald loved to fish but would always say that he loved his "biggest catch" which was Ms. Jo. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; Haskell and Lura Madison, two step sons Danny and Richard (Dickie) Ferguson, and a sister Ruby Hendrick. He leaves be hide he bride of 46 years, Joan Madison of the home, two sisters Oleta Donovan "Sister Bill" of Cushing, OK, Sharon Petersen and husband Bryan of Glencoe, OK, two step-sons William R. Ferguson and his wife Nancy of Tucson, AZ, and Thomas J. Ferguson and his wife Randee of TX. And numerous nieces and nephews. Donald will truly be missed by his special friends Kelli Pair and Joni Betts. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 pm, Friday, March 3, 2017 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Grove, with Pastor Jim Paslay officiating. Donald will be laid to rest at Wichita Park Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas.
