Donald Roy McCutchan, 69 year-old Disney resident died at the Craig General Hospital in Vinita on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, after an extended illness. Roy was born March 12, 1938 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Albert A. McCutchan, II and Muriel Helena (Miller) McCutchan. Roy was a graduate of Eufaula High School, Spartan School of Aeronautics and attended Southeastern State University at Durant. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from January of 1957 to January 1963, on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. Roy worked as an ATM technician for the Diebold Company until his retirement in 2000. He married Judy (Moore) on September 23, 2000 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Roy was a member of the South Grand Lake Christian Church Disciples of Christ, near Langley. Roy and Judy had made their residence in Disney for the past seven years. They traveled to Florida often to their home in Okeechobee. Roy was a pilot and had built his own Glasair airplane, he loved to read war novels, fish, sail boating, traveling, golfing, OU football and playing the guitar. He was a member of the Power Squadron and was a cook for "Meals On Wheels". The family includes: his wife Judy of the home, His son Anthony McCutchan of Collinsville, daughter Andrea Arnegard and husband Rick of Adair; two grandchildren Sara and Aubrey McCutchan of Collinsville; three brothers, Robert McCutchan and wife Barbara of Houston, Texas, Carl McCutchan and wife Jeanine of Altus, Oklahoma, and Jack McCutchan of Eufaula; special friends, Tim and Cindy Andreassen of Tulsa; and his special companions (his cats) Woman, Georgie Girl and Boomer. Preceding him in death were his sisters, Jean Cherry and Judy McCutchan and one brother Albert McCutchan. The memorial service will be held, Sunday September 23, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the South Grand Lake Christian Church at Langley, with Pastor Janice Hill officiating.
