Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove - Donald Lee Ward, 84, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014, at Grove Nursing Center in Grove, Oklahoma, where he had resided since 2011. Don was born October 31, 1929, in St. Paul, Kansas to Add Ward and Elsie (Holding) Ward. He was raised in St. Paul and later moved to Scotia California. Don worked for the Kansas Ordinance Plant and also for the Pacific Lumber Company. Upon retiring in 1992, he and Wilma moved to Grand Lake in Oklahoma, where he they enjoyed fishing, playing cards and going to the casino. On February 20, 1950, he and Wilma Marie Hazen were married in Erie, Kansas She survives of Grove, Oklahoma. Survivors include his two sons Richard Ward and wife Pam of Parsons, KS; Roy Ward and wife Lou Anne of Branson West, MO; daughter Janice Norris and husband Nick, of Grove, OK; five grandchildren: Justin Norris and wife Lisa of Blue Springs, MO; Nicole Mustain and husband Shaun of Lee's Summit, MO; Maggie Clay and husband Ryan of Greenwood, MO; Kyle Ward of Pheonix, AZ; and Mindy Ward, of Parsons, KS; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Opal Beard of Erie, KS; brothers Tom Ward of Scotia, CA; Ronnie Ward of Merrill, OR; and Arnie Ward of St. Paul, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ray Ward, Marvin Ward and Albert Ward. Graveside service will be held on Friday, February 21st, 2014 at 2pm, at Hope Cemetery in St. Paul, Kansas
