Luginbuel Funeral Home Vinita, 918-256-5555.........Donald Ellis Whitesell, 83-year-old Vinita resident, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, July 16, 2018. Donald was born in Afton on April 7, 1935 to Elmer B. and Della V. (Moore) Whitesell. He was a self-employed Grade A Dairy farmer. Donald loved his church, where he served as a Deacon, Royal Ambassador leader and teacher, Sunday school teacher, and vacation bible school leader. Survivors include his wife of 64 years Ann Alice (Lindsey) Whitesell; children, Dr. Randy Whitesell and partner Kristin Johnson of Evergreen CO, Sonja Wadley of Vinita, Terri Van Ostran and husband Stan, of Charleston SC; sister, Gloria Wells and husband Allen of Selma, CA; grandchildren, Kelsey Horowitz and husband Matanya, Brian Wadley, Jodye Whitesell, Brittany Day and husband Daniel, Mackenzie Garcia and husband C. J., Timothy Van Ostran and wife Kristin; brother-in-law, Dan Lindsey of Vinita and sister-in-law, Geraldine Epperson of Choctaw. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Paula Allen. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Vinita with Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery Afton, Oklahoma.
