Donna Anne Kirby, age 51, and longtime resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012, in the Heritage Villa Nursing Center. Donna Anne O'Neill was born on February 4, 1961, in New Haven, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Jennie Regina Castagna O'Neill. Her stepfather was George McCallie from the age of six years old. Donna attended school and graduated high school from New Haven High. Donna was employed at IHOP in different states. Her stepfather, Mr. McCallie, was one of the IHOP owners and he started her career as a waitress for IHOP. She was also a waitress for several area restaurants and was employed in the Phillips Petroleum Company Executive Dining Room. Most recently she was with Midway Café in Bartlesville, until her illness prevented her from working. Although she was primarily a waitress, she was so much more than that to her customers who grew to love her over the years. Her customers' needs and comfort were of primary concern to Donna. She will be remembered as a friend with a smiling face welcoming you whenever you saw her. Everyone that Donna met loved her and she enjoyed being with all her friends and she especially loved life. She was a big Nascar fan and a fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr., (No. 3). Donna had one son, Christopher O'Neill, who died as an infant. Steve Kirby, Bartlesville resident, was a longtime friend. whose surname Donna took as her own. Shawna Kirby, Steve's daughter, was like a daughter to her. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Surviving are Steve Kirby and his daughter, Shawna; close friend, H. T. "Tom" Sears, Jr.; and many other wonderful friends and acquaintances.
