Donna Reese

Donna Marie Reese, age 74, a longtime resident of Bartlesville went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Friday May 23, 2008 with her family at her side. Donna was born December 30, 1933 near Salina, Kansas, the second of three children born to Olof Pearson and Nelia Pearson. After graduating high school, Dick and Donna Pearson were united in marriage on June 1, 1952 in Salina, Kansas and enjoyed a blessed and inseparable partnership for 54 years. Dick preceded her in death on March 7, 2007. In 1969 the family moved to Bartlesville and began a three decade association with Russ Rogers Chevrolet where Dick served as General Manager for many years. Donna was a stay at home mom until 1976, when she started her career in accounting with the Department of Energy and Nipper until her retirement. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where Dick served as an Elder. Her hobbies included sewing, oil and acrylic painting, knitting and woodworking. Mrs. Reese is survived by her two children, Richard and his wife Tricia Reese of Stevenson Ranch, CA, Karla and husband Paul Talkington of Owasso, OK, four grandchildren, Ashleigh Reese, Kayla Talkington, Kristine Talkington and Cody Talkington, and two sisters JoAnn Smith of Winfield, KS and Margaret Budke of Salina, KS. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard L. "Dick" Reese and her parents. Funeral services will be Wednesday May 28, 2008 at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Mark E. Carter officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday in the Roxbury Cemetery in Roxbury, KS at 1:00 p.m., services are under the direction of the Neekamp -Luginbuel Funeral home.
