Dora Jean (Karn) Caudill, 80, of Grove, Oklahoma went to be with her savior on Sunday, October 5, 2008. Dora was born in Newberg, Oregon on January 22, 1928 to Lewis and Wilma Karn. She was raised in southeast Colorado until she met a curly haired cowboy named Jim Caudill. They were married December 28, 1951 in Olympia, Washington and raised their family in Zena, Oklahoma. Dora was a loving and caring wife, mother , grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was a teacher to many and taught elementary ages in different schools in Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Her values were not in worldly things, but in the relationships with the people that she met. She cared greatly for her family and for any others that needed aid. She was a committed Christian and has attended several regional churches. Dora is survived by husband Jim Caudill, sister Kathryn Grahan and husband Lars, Sister Nola Shoemaker and husband Jack, daughter Paula Benson and husband Mark, son Tedd Caudill, son Brack Caudill and fiancée Lanie Jackson, son Jade Caudill, grandson Shawn Benson and wife Rebekah, grand daughter Alicia Moyer and husband Matt, grand daughter Stacie Caudill, grandson Braxton Caudill, grandson Britton Caudill, great-grandson Michael Benson and great-grand daughter Emily Benson. Dora Caudill had an infectious and loving smile and will be greatly missed. Psalm 23. Funeral services for Dora Caudill will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2008 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. She will lie in state at the funeral home from noon until 5;00 P.M. on Thursday, October 9. Interment will be at Butler Cemetery.
