Grove, OK - Dora Loydema Roberts, 82, died Saturday evening, January 13, 2007 at Grand Lake Villa Care Center, Grove, Oklahoma. Dora was born November 26, 1924 at Fairland, Oklahoma to Charlie Mathis and Blanche (Cullison) Mathis. She grew up in the Fairland/Peoria area and on September 13, 1941, married John C. "J.C." Roberts, at Seneca, Missouri. Mr. Roberts preceded his wife in death in November 1989. Dora was a homemaker and was actively involved with the craft club of Grove. She enjoyed arts and crafts and crocheting. Dora was a member of the Grove Independent Baptist Church. Survivors include three children, H. Leroy Roberts and his wife, Joan of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Lila Fay Dawson and husband, Virgil of Bentonville, Arkansas and Ray Roberts and his wife, Eulene of Grove, Oklahoma; one brother, Leon Mathis of Grove, Oklahoma; three sisters, Virginia Brumfield of Townsend, Montana, Vera Mae Smith of Wyandotte, Oklahoma and Sylvia Bingman of Lewiston, Idaho; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband; by two sisters, Evelyn Fransisco and Jo Ann Cline and by two brothers, Eugene and Basil Mathis. Graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2007 at Council House Cemetery northeast of Grove, Oklahoma. Service and interment are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove. A visitation will be held Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
