Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK....918-786-2261....Doris A. Spicer, passed away at the Grove Nursing Center in Grove, OK on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the age of 95. Doris was born on February 18, 1919 in Pawhuska, OK, the daughter of the late Stewart Jamison and Nellie (Charloe) Jamison. Doris grew up in Oregon and attended school in Oregon. She married Levi Spicer and they resided in Oregon until moving to the Wyandotte area where they started their family. Doris worked and retired from the Grove General Hospital as a cook. She enjoyed quilting, weaving and cooking, but most of all she loved to be with her family especially her grandkids. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Levi; one daughter Norma Sue Spicer and one son-in-law Vernie Martin. She is survived by her seven children: Francis Lee Spicer of New York, William "Bill" H. Spicer of Wyandotte, OK, James H. Spicer and his wife Linda of Wyandotte, OK, Jerry A. Spicer and his wife Brenda of Grove, OK, Joseph E. Spicer of Oregon, Joy Martin of Anadarko, OK, and Jessie D. Spicer of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren: Jimmy Spicer, Justin Spicer, Jennifer Cooper, and Kashsa Spicer; one great granddaughter Kambree Carrasquillo; and a host of relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at the Council House Cemetery, Northeast of Grove, OK on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2PM with Chaplain Darwin King, presiding. There will be public visitation on Monday, November 17, 2014 from 6PM to 8PM at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK.
