Graveside services for Doris Ellen Wickham are 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Wickham Family Cemetery in Nowata County with Charlie Cunningham officiating. Doris Ellen (Freeman) Wickham, 79, of Nowata, passed away April 1, 2013 at her home in Nowata. She was born on June 27, 1933 in Kansas City, Missouri to Walt Workman and Leota Freeman. She moved to Nowata when she was six years old and spent the remainder of her life there. Doris attended Nowata schools and on October 13, 1950 she married Dean Wickham in Bentonville Arkansas. They had five children and she spent the rest of her life caring for her husband children and grandchildren. They were the most important part of her life. Doris also enjoyed walks in the outdoors, watching Nowata and OU football, and couldn't pass up a garage sale. She loved baking cakes, and she and Dean square danced for many years. She was a loving person that will be missed by all who knew her. Doris is survived by her husband, Dean of the home; five children, Terry Wickham and wife Linda of Nowata, Paul Wickham and wife Georgene of Nowata, Beverly Johnson and partner Dane Mangels of Nowata, Kathy Morris and husband Tony of Delaware, Penny and Dennis Ivie of Nowata; a half brother, Dale Workman; twelve grandchildren, Allan Wickham and wife Jenefier, Thad Wickham and wife Amanda, Mike Wickham, Jennefer McCormick, TJ Sanders, Tabitha Sanders, Dan Johnson, Jackie Chaney and husband Jim, Jarrod Morris and wife Melissa, Jamie Holinsworth and husband C.J., Bobby Stamps and wife Danele, Laura Jordan and husband Daniel; three step grandchildren, Lance Ivie, Jennifer Ivie, Derrick Ivie; twelve great grandchildren, Rachael and Hannah Wickham, Austin and Colton Wickham, Bryce and Kylie Jo Wickham, Camron Sanders, Allison Patton, Jimmy (Bub) Chaney, Nadean and Gunner Stamps, Carson Morris and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.
