Mrs. Dorothea Ringo Noble, 86, educator and homemaker, died Friday October 12, 2007 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Mrs. Dorothea Ringo Noble was born in Nowata, Oklahoma on February 26, 1917 to the late Viola and Walter Ringo. She was raised and educated in Nowata and graduated from the Okalahoma State University. Dorothea Ringo and James Edward "Ed" Noble were united in marriage June 8, 1945 in Nowata, Oklahoma. She was a longtime area educator and taught at the Nowata, Alluwe, Fairfax and Shidler School systems. She was a 50 year member of P.E.O., a member of the Bartlesville First Presbyterian Church and a founding member of the "55" club in Bartlesville. Dorothea and Ed moved to Bartlesville in 1983 from Nowata, Oklahoma. Dorothea is survived by two nieces, Sue Brannan and her husband Stan and Leslie Horigan and her husband Bill, grandnieces and nephews, Jennifer and Christopher Brannan, Patrick, Andrew, Amanda and Brie Horigan. She is preceded in death by her husband James Edward "Ed" Noble, her parents Viola and Walter Ringo and two sisters Norma Leah Ringo and Donna Ringo Robinson. Committal services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday October 16, 2007 in the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery, with The Rev. Andrew S. Odom of the First Presbyterian church of Bartlesville officiating. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM in the First Presbyterian Church of Bartlesville. Services are under the direction of the Neekamp -Luginbuel Funeral home.
