Dorothy A. Heinrich, age 93 passed away Wednesday February 3, at Bellarose Assisted Living.
Dorothy A. Heinrich passed away February 3, 2021. She was born March 31, 1927 in Independence, Missouri to Roy O. Pryor and Maude Blanch Hifner Pryor. Dorothy graduated from William Chrisman High School. She attended one semester at Kansas University. Upon returning to Independence, she went to work for ATT Ma Bell downtown Kansas City, MO. She met her future husband, Walt Heinrich on a blind date. They were married on September 19, 1948 at the First Methodist church Independence, MO. The newly weds made their home in Borger Texas, where Walt was employed by Phillips Petroleum. In 1953 they were transferred to Bartlesville, OK.
Dorothy and Walt were blessed with three children, Karen and Barbara born in Borger, TX, and Walter William Heinrich, Jr. (Bill) was born in Bartlesville, OK.
Dorothy (Dottie) was continually active in Redeemer Lutheran Church singing in the choir. She played bridge and hosted bridge club once a month at her residence. She belonged to a bowling league that bowled every Wednesday night at the Phillips Bowling Alley. She also played golf with my father and their friends. They belonged to Sooner Golf Club in Bartlesville. Her hobbies were cross stitching and of course playing bridge.
She was proceeded in death by her husband; Walter Wm Heinrich, Sr., her parents; Roy O. Pryor and Maude Blanch Pryor, sisters; Norman Dean Simmons, Betty Jean Case, brother; Roy A. Pryor, great granddaughter; Katelyn Nichole Feary, and grandson; Walter James Feary.
She is survived by three children; Karen A. Heinrich Feary Rogers and husband Tom of Broken Arrow, OK, Barbara J. Heinrich of Tulsa, OK, Walter Wm Heinrich Jr. of Tulsa, OK, two grandchildren; John William Feary and his wife Chelsea of Owasso, OK, Jennifer A. Feary of Broken Arrow, OK, four great grandchildren; William Blake James Feary, Cassidy Katherine Nichole Feary, Ian Michael Feary, Emma Nichole Feary, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday February 12, 11:00 am at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bartlesville. Services have been entrusted to Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Online condolences can be left at honoringmemories.com.
