Dorothy F. Roberson, age 77, and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015, at her home. Dorothy Fern "Dot" Marchant was born July 14, 1937 in Harrison, Arkansas. She was the daughter of William Monroe Marchant and Fanny Mae (Kelley) Marchant. She and her family moved to Bartlesville from Conway, Arkansas when she was a teenager and has lived here since that time. Dot and Gerald Dee "Jerry" Roberson were united in marriage in the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, Bartlesville. Dot and Jerry were members and faithful attendees of the church for many years. She was an employee of the Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise as a Graphics Designer, retiring in 1998 after 20+ years of service. Dot enjoyed sewing and family remembers she "fixed a lot of pants". She also enjoyed crafting and loved to write. She was very involved with Pinewood Derby cars for her son, Bill. She was the "handyman" of the house. Other things that brought her enjoyment were yard work and softball slow pitch where she pitched. However, her husband, Jerry, was the love of her life and it was special to her when her entire family gathered around. Survivors include son, Billy Joe Roberson and his wife, Tammy, of Dewey, Oklahoma; daughters Janet Kaye Remington and her husband, Roger, of Bartlesville, and Sherry Lynn Roberts and her husband, Roger, of Eufaula, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jacob Austin Sprague, Tyler Drue Remington, Jared David Peterson, Lindsey Kaye Remington, Jori Lynn Peterson, Shelby and Sarah Thompson, Keith Roberts, Stephanie Blakely and Anthony Hill; great-grandchildren, Madison Sprague, Harmony Smith and Mikinsey Chambers; and brother-in-law, J. C. Roberson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Jerry.
