Dorothy June Toliver, 89, of Grove, Oklahoma passed away at Grand Lake Villa on Sunday, April 18, 2010. She was born on December 1, 1920 in Tonganoxie, Kansas to Charles and Dorothy (Brown) Cole. She married Glenn Toliver on September 22, 1940 in Kansas City, Kansas. Mrs. Toliver was a homemaker who loved to sew and crochet. She was a member of the First Assembly of God and the American Legion's Auxiliary. Dorothy was very well known for her cream pies. Mrs. Toliver is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Dorothy Cole, a son Andrew Toliver, a sister Loris Smith and a brother Charles Cole. Survivors include her love of sixty-nine years Glenn Toliver of the home, children, Darlene Carkins and her husband Ben of Grove, Larry Toliver and his wife Lynn of Elk Grove, California, Terry Toliver and his wife Caroline of Rockland, California, Lynda Johnsen and her husband Bob of Lacey, Washington and Ronald Toliver of Grove, a Daughter in Law Jackie Toliver of Elk Grove, California, a sister in law Maxine Toliver of Grove, a sister Helen Harding of Vel Rico, Florida, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Toliver will be on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Chapel Services will be on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove with Reverend Gerald Helms officiating. Interment will follow at the New Hope Cemetery in Adair County at 2:00 PM under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home.
