Dwight Stephenson Bratcher of Grove, OK., died Wednesday May 9, 2007 at his home in Grove, Ok. He was 91. Dwight was born January 10, 1916 at Nash, Oklahoma, to Emmett and Myrtle (Stephenson) Bratcher. He married Ruby Yotter on October 5, 1947. He earned his living as a Construction Superintendent, working for Chalmers -- Borden. Dwight served his country honorably during World War II as a Seabee in the United States Navy. Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Ruby Helen Bratcher, of the home. There are three children; Beverly Pering and her husband Bob of San Diego, California; Stephen Bratcher and his wife Debbie of Grove, Oklahoma; and Dennis Bratcher of Joplin, Missouri. Dwight has two sisters; Nan Hartman and Lorraine Clark of Oklahoma City. Dwight is also survived by five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rex Bratcher and an infant sister. Services will be 3:00 PM Saturday May 12, 2007 at the Olympus Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma. There will be no formal visitation, but friends are welcome to sign the guest register at the funeral home anytime prior to the service.
