Luginbuel South Grand Lake chapel, Langley 918 -782 - 4400............Dwight Heltzel 83 year old Ketchum resident passed away November 19, 2016 at the Claremore Veterans' Center. He was born on May 23, 1933 to John Christopher Heltzel and Amy Hazel (Finnell) Heltzel in Ketchum, Ok.. Dwight was raised in the Ketchum Area until his military service for his country in the US Army. After the US Army he returned home and fell in love with Vernona June Summers they were married July 1, 1960. They had 56 wonderful years together. Dwight worked as a caretaker at Port Pleasure on Grand Lake. He was a member of Ketchum Baptist Church. He loved baseball, helping coach summer league for his son John. Dwight was an avivd hunter and fisherman. He always enjoyed planting and working in his vegetable garden. He would tell you his best time was with family and grandchildren. Dwight was preceded by his mother and father. Survived by his wife June of the home in Ketchum. One son John and wife Michele of Plugerville Tx., one daughter Lorri Heltzel of Catoosa, Ok.. Three grandchildren Morgan Heltzel, Joshua Sears and Jacob Sears. There will be a visitation on Friday November 25, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Luginbuel South Grand Lake Chapel in Langley. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday November 26, 2016 at Ketchum Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow at the Ketchum Cemetery with military graveside honors.
