Earl "Andy" Anderson 89 year old Vinita resident, died early Wednesday morning March 19, 2008 at Rosewood Terrace in Vinita after an extended illness. Andy was born July 13, 1918 in Rondo, Arkansas to Elmo and Willie Mae (Gatlin) Anderson. He served his country during World War II with the 82nd Airborne Division for over 4 years. Andy was a member of the American Legion and VFW of Vinita. He lived most of his life in Vinita and married Betty Osborn in 1944; she preceded him in death in 1989. Andy loved to play pool, domino's fishing, and listening to his daughter Shirley sing Karaoke. He never met a person who was a stranger. In 1993 he married Luanna Aubert in Miami. The family includes; his wife Luanna of the home, nine children, Jack Riddle and wife Rosie of Del Rio, Texas, Bill Anderson, Jerry Anderson, and Ted Anderson of Everett, Washington, Eddie Anderson of Vinita, Janet Anderson of Brea, California, Shirley Brewer and husband John of Vinita, Debbie Simon and husband Keith of Miami, one daughter Patricia Anderson preceded him in death in 1956. There are two step-sons and two step-daughters, Christina Wilson of Anderson, Missouri, Tina Turnbough and husband Carl of Vinita, William Colvard of Anderson, Missouri, Brian Colvard and wife Annette of Vinita, Lisa Gay Hilton and husband James of Garden City, Kansas, there are eleven grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. Andy was known and loved by many, he will be greatly missed. His parents, three brothers and one sister all preceded him in death. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel with Pastor George Vaughn officiating.
