Earl Edgar Hale, Jr., age 81 of Langley, OK passed away Friday, November 22, 2013. Earl was born in Lyons, NE on October 20, 1932 to Earl and Louise (Case) Hale. On March 12, 1973 he was united in marriage to Doris Wood. Collectively they raised 6 children of their own and 596 foster children. Earl was a very proud and patriotic man. He served in the Navy for 4 years and the Air Force for 16 years, retiring as an aircraft mechanic. He served in both the Korean and Vietnam War. He was also very proud to have two sons serve in the Air Force as well. Earl loved watching sports. He was a die-hard Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He also enjoyed watching western and war movies, especially if John Wayne was in them. Survivors include his wife Doris of the home, children: Joyce Davidson and husband Ron of Spavinaw, OK, Wayne Hale and wife Laura of Lancaster, CA, Lisa Garcia and husband David of Victorville, CA, Darrell Morris and wife Cathy of Spavinaw, OK, Richard Hale and wife Cyndie of Navarre, FL, and Amber Thompson and husband Brian of Cleora, OK, 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and one sister Donna Marie Bragg of Kenosha, WI. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Donald Hale. Celebration of life services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the First Christian Church of Langley with Rick Hale officiating.
