Earl O'Dell

Earl Edward O'Dell, age 93 of Vinita, died Saturday December 5, 2009. He was born in northeast Craig County on March 3, 1916 the son of O. G. O'Dell and Eva (Fox) O'Dell. On August 21, 1937 he was united in marriage to Juanita June Adams. That same year Earl began doing installation work in Tulsa for Western Electric Company, working there until his retirement in 1973. They then moved to the Grand Lake area and in 1984 moved to Vinita. Earl was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Group and the First United Methodist Church of Vinita. Survivors include his son Chris O'Dell and wife Susan of Van Buren, AR and daughter Connie J. Moore and husband Stan of Branson, MO, three grandchildren: Gary Moore, Krista McGarrah, and Ryan O'Dell and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife June O'Dell, one brother, and three sisters. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bob Johns officiating. Interment will follow at Bluejacket Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com
