Earl Sprague

Earl William Sprague, 54 year old longtime area resident, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in Vinita. He was born on October 5, 1960, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania to Jay B. and Marjorie (Thrasher) Sprague. Earl attended school at Vinita, graduating in 1978. He was united in marriage to Sheri Green on July 10, 1984 in Anguilla, Mississippi. Earl had been employed as a welder for BNSF Railroad since April of 1993. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, as well as an excellent carpenter. He loved making people laugh with his jokes and keeping them on their toes, there was never a dull moment with him around. Earl enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his beloved corgi "T-Bone". He also took such great pride in his John Deere collection. Above all he was a wonderful "Pa" to Lyndsey Streeter, Adam, Jr. and Ian Taylor, Mahkenzie and Draven Sprague. The family includes: his wife Sheri of the home; children, Chrystal Green, Misty (Sprague) Taylor and husband Adam, Kyle Sprague, all of Vinita, and Tasha Couls; grandchildren, Makenzie, Shelby and Hailey of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters Cindy Martin of Vinita, Doris Tharp of Beggs, Linda Inhof, Joyce Bertolette and Sandra Mosley all of Pennsylvania; a brother, Meryl Mosley of Florida; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Dennis Mosley. The memorial service for Earl Sprague will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Vinita, with Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com. Friends may give to the Special Olympics in Earl's memory. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita. Friends may sign Earl's Memory Book at the Luginbuel Funeral Home from 8 am to 5 pm on Thursday and Friday, October 23 & 24, 2014.
