Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita 918-256-5555: Earnestine Lee (Kincade) Hayes, 86 year old Claremore resident, went to be with her Lord on Monday January 27, 2014 at the Claremore Nursing Center. She was born on January 26, 1928 in Big Cabin to Earnest Leerex "Jimmy" Kincaid and Emma Marie (BigKnife) Kincade. After attending Vinita High School Earnestine married Thomas Edward Hayes on April 8, 1944 in Pryor. They lived in Craig County until 1966, then moved to Tulsa, and in 1989 they moved to Claremore. Earnestine was a member of the First Christian Church in Claremore and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a former member of the Home Demonstration Club, worked raising funds for the American Heart Fund and served as a Den Mother for Cub Scouts. Earnestine was a talented artist, enjoyed writing poetry, listening to music and doing crafts. Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters, Arma Buchanan and Nancy VanMeter; a brother John Kincade; and a grandson James Edward Buchfink. The family includes: her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Thomas Edward Hayes of Claremore; children, Dixie Gayle Simmons and husband Jerry of Talala, Tommie Lynne Buchfink and husband Marvin of Oologah, Jimmy Bert Hayes and wife Mickey of Tulsa, Robert Edward Hayes and wife Kathy of Park Hill; sisters Helen Mersch and Mary Fry and her husband Victor all of Claremore; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Vinita, with Pastor Charles Ragland officiating. Interment will follow at the White Oak Cemetery.
