Eddie Millard Osburn, 87, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at his home in Nowata. He was born November 5, 1926 in Sallisaw, OK to Jessie James and Pearl (Bigfeather) Osburn. He grew up at Sallisaw on a farm with his parents. He graduated from Sallisaw High School and later served in the service assisting with the clean-up effort in Japan. He married Flora Betty Ross in Fort Smith, Arkansas on August 7, 1947. He loved horses and going to the horse races. He moved his family to Tulsa to work on TVs where he retired. Eddie is survived by his two daughters Kathy Pruitt of the home, Pearl BigFeather and her husband Tom Chetwinski of Florida; a step daughter, Cathy and husband Mike Bryant of Nowata; grandchildren, Shelly and her husband Scott Carley, Teddy Miller and his wife Tonya; six great grandchildren, McKenzy Carley, Noah Carley, Gracey Carley, Gunnar Miller, Teddy Miller, Stormy Miller; four brothers, Le Dale Osburn, Kipp Osburn, Junior Osburn, Rayo Osburn; a son-in-law Denny Hughes and his wife Sharon of Illinois. Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Pearl Bigfeather, a son-in-law Melvin Pruitt, six of his brothers, and Brandy Pruitt.
