Funeral Services for Edgar Cleon "Tiny" Folk are at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2012 at the First Church of God with Pastor Wendell Abbott officiating. Interment will follow at the Relocated Cemetery in Nowata. Services have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com. Tiny Folk passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Jane Phillips Nowata Health Center. He was born on March 21, 1941 in Anthony, Kansas to Virgil "Bud" and Elva (Robbins) Folk. He graduated from high school in Burlington, Oklahoma, and continued his education at Oklahoma State Technical School in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. In 1961 Tiny married Anita Kay Taylor in Schulter, Oklahoma and in that same year he moved to Nowata. He delivered propane most of his working career and mowed as many as 53 lawns one summer. Tiny was an honorary farmer for the local FFA Chapter. He helped many local children raise and feed their animals. Tiny really enjoyed raising hogs and farming. In his spare time Tiny enjoyed bowling and fishing but he always had time for his greatest joy, spending time with his grandson "Bear". Tiny was a very kind man that would help anyone and gave of himself constantly. He will be missed by all who knew him. Tiny is survived by his daughter, Dee Ann Stalley of Nowata, Oklahoma, a grandson, Taylor Anthony "Bear" Gogue and girlfriend Courtney Carter of Nowata, Oklahoma, a brother, Leon Folk and wife Linda of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, two nieces, Renate and Michelle and their families, two brother in laws, Arbin and Chrise Files and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Anita Kaye Folk.
