Edgar Prine 86 year old well known Bluejacket area farmer-stockman, died Monday June 29, 2009 working just like he loved to do, fixing fence, with his boots on at the corral. He was born April 26, 1923 in Cleora to Guy E. and Minnie (Jackson) Prine. Edgar attended school at Ketchum and went to work at an early age. He was married to Beatrice Viola "Bee" Yost in January 4, 1941 in Vinita. Bee preceded him in death on November 27, 2006. Edgar loved his horses, cows, the farming-ranching life, reading and visiting with his many friends. The family includes his; children, Judy Spaulding and husband Jerry of Welch, Linda Brown of Oklahoma City, Debbie Horn and husband Don of Chelsea; a brother, Bill Prine and wife Ovene of Langley, a sister, Dorothy Roush and husband Harvey of Bristow; grandchildren, Marcia Diaz, Todd Spaulding, Melissa and Darren Shope, Will and Joy Doggett, Marissa and T. J. Torres; great-grandchildren, Angela Spaulding, Robyn Diaz, Tyler, Jordan and William Shope and Jackson Doggett, also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Preceding him in death were his, parents, wife, and a brother George Prine in 1996. The family will receive friends at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening. The funeral will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Cowboy Junction, with Pastors C. G. Gilmore and Bobby Whitchurch officiating. Interment will follow at the Pheasant Hill Cemetery.
