Eileen Daphne May, 81-year-old Nowata resident, passed away Monday, February 1, 2010 at her home in Nowata. Eileen May was born May 28, 1928 in Braintree, Essex, England to William Neale and Lillian Pardon-Neale. She grew up and attended school in Braintree. On August 13, 1956, she married Ronnie Avis May. After Mr. May completed his tour with the United States Air Force, the two returned to Nowata in 1975. Mrs. May loved traveling and being on the go. She also treasured the time she spent with her family and held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. Mrs. May is survived by her husband Ronnie of the home; by two sons, Andrew Michael Neale of the home and Ronnie May, Jr. of McAlester, Oklahoma; by four daughters, Carol Ethier of Corpus Christi, Texas, Donna Parrett of Talala, Oklahoma, Tina Boswell of Nowata, Oklahoma, and Tracy Thornbrugh of Vilseck, Germany; by one sister, Masie Temperly of Braintree, England; by one brother, Michael Neale of London, England; by 11 grandchildren, Kelly Williams, Tracy Ethier, William Ethier, Brady May, Scott Parrett, Tadd Parrett, Paige Parrett, Maygen Smith, Jacob Smith, Sage Thornbrugh, and Sydney Thornbrugh; and by 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and by one sister, Jean Neale.
