Elizabeth Alexander passed from this life on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the Blue River Healthcare in Tishomingo, OK. She was 88 years, 10 months old at the time of her death. She was a Bartlesville resident for 56 years before moving to Tishomingo three years ago to be close to her daughter. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00-8:00 PM and on Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 2 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Will Pasieczny of Tishomingo officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Lenapah, OK. She was born to George W. and Gertrude (Compston) Reiter on October 21, 1924 in Big Cabin, OK. Her family moved to Nowata, OK. when she was a young child and she graduated from Nowata High School in 1945. She married her high school sweetheart, Frank N Alexander, Jr. on June 12, 1945 in Nowata, OK. He preceded her in death. Elizabeth worked for the telephone company for many years as a switchboard operator. She later worked for the City of Bartlesville until her retirement in 1985. Elizabeth loved the times she spent with her family. She was an accomplished seamstress and cook. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church (now called the Spirit Church) in Bartlesville. She was loved by many people and enjoyed sharing her faith with them. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Elnora Emberson, and her brother Russell "Bud" Reiter. She is survived by her five children; Aleta and spouse Curt Frank of St. Charles, IL; son John and wife Kathy Alexander of Broken Arrow, OK; Sharion and spouse Dr. Ron Austin of Tishomingo, OK; Frank and spouse Karla Alexander of Oklahoma City; and Michael "Mike" and Jennifer Alexander of Bellingham, WA, her two beloved nephews, Ronald "Ron" Emberson of Miami, OK and Randy Emberson of Nowata, OK:13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren, all of which she adored. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons Eric Alexander, Ryan Austin, Dr. Justin Parks, Mat Alexander, and Kevin Alexander.
