Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK.....918-786-2261.........Elizabeth "Liz" Easter, passed away at her home in Zena, OK on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the age of 75. Elizabeth was born March 9, 1939 in Tulsa, OK, the daughter of the late John Otto Hase and Dessie Mae (Palmer) Hase. She graduated from Grove High School in 1957 and then from N.E. Area Vo-Tech in Afton in 1985 from the LPN program. Elizabeth married James A. Easter on July 7, 1956 in Miami, OK. Liz worked at the Lakeside Restaurant and GlassMaster Boats in Grove before going to work for the local nursing homes. She worked in Jay at Monroe Manor, and in Grove at the Grand Lake Manor, Betty Ann Nursing Home, and the Grove Nursing Center. She also worked as a home health nurse for the terminally ill. Liz spent her entire life caring for others whether it was as an older sibling, for her own five children or for others throughout her professional career. She took care of others until her health no longer allowed it. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; two siblings: Carol Sue and Otto Morrie Hase; and two great granddaughters: Kyleigh Rosalie and Jordyn Dawn. She is survived by her husband Jim Easter of the home; three sons: Michael Easter and his wife Marbie, Norman Easter and his wife Mary, and Jimmie Easter and his wife Jessica all of Zena, OK; two daughters: Jennifer Smith of Maricopa, AZ, and Ollie Page and her husband Harvey of Zena, OK; 24 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; four sisters: Linda Weiesnbach and her husband Tim of Tempe, AZ, Leona Lewis and her husband David of Oakhurst, OK, Peggy Easter and her husband Theron of Hickory Grove, OK, and Roberta Morris and Howard Braden of Mannford, OK; one brother John Hase and his wife Debbie of Jennings, OK; and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 2PM with Pastor Rick Thomas, presiding. The burial will follow at the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Grove, OK. The family will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 5PM to 8PM at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK. Friends and family may leave notes of encouragement by viewing Liz's Book of Memories at www.honoringmemories.com. Casket bearers will be her grandson's Thomas Reid, Jeremy Ford, Scotty Smith, John Easter, Kyle Easter, and James Morrison. Honorary casket bearers will be Dale Easter, Timothy Easter, Michael Easter, Jr., Darren Robitaille, Matthew Bolte, Dustin Jones, Ruben Page, Brandon Page, Tyler Moman, and Stuart Graves.
