Elizabeth Leming Gordonwood, 86, a long time Bartlesville resident passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Heritage Villa Nursing Center. Elizabeth was born November 22, 1925 in Chester, Pennsylvania, the only daughter of Dean T. and Elizabeth (Maison) Leming. She grew up in Danville, Kentucky and graduated from Danville High School. She was united in marriage to W.J. "Jeff" Gordonwood on September 2, 1951 in Danville, Kentucky. She worked as a secretary for Phillips Petroleum before growing their family with two children, Laura and Dean. She and Jeff enjoyed traveling together; they lived in England and Holland, Utah, Montana, Texas and California while employed with Phillips. They were members of the St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She was an avid bingo player at the American Legion, enjoyed reading, and playing the piano. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Jeff Gordonwood of the home; daughter, Laura Dick and her husband, Gerard, of Kitchener, Ontario Canada; son, Dean Gordonwood and his wife, Karen, of Edmond, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Amelia and Adam Gordonwood and Christopher Dueck and brother-in-law, James Dawson Pendygraft of Parksville, Kentucky She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean T. and Bess Leming.
