Elizabeth "Betty" Marie Johnson, 84 year old, Zena, Oklahoma resident passed away, Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Betty was born on July 28, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri to Georgia Jenkins. She was raised in Farina, Illinois. Betty married Charles Johnson and together they owned and operated Johnson Mattress Company. After retiring they moved to Zena, Oklahoma. Betty enjoyed fishing and being on the lake. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and a daughter Mary Eddy. Betty is survived by four children, Richard Johnson of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Marylin Freeman of Jay Oklahoma, Joyce Johnson of Kankakee, Illinois, and Janice Ference of Kankakee, Illinois. Betty is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and a host of great great grandchildren. Graveside services for Betty will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A visitation for Betty will be held for 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. In Lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Zena First Responders and/or O.N.H.L. Hospice. Notes of encouragement may be left at www.honoringmemories.com Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
