Elsie Marie (Giyer) Smith Weston, 81 year old White Oak resident, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Southcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born May 19, 1931 on Monkey Island in Delaware County to John B. and Ollie O. (Morgan) Giyer. Elsie worked for many years in Vinita at Munsingwear, Sequoyah Bedding and lastly TRW Cinch where she retired from after over 20 years with them. She was a very accomplished seamstress, making clothing, also quilting and had even done upholstery. Elsie had also been a caregiver for the elderly and at home of hope. She raised cattle and goats for many years as well. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Richard "Kink" Henderson in 2010, brothers, Clinton Giyer, Ray Giyer, Johnny Giyer, Lloyd Giyer, Clifford Giyer; a sister Margene Ward; and husbands Mike Smith and Marvin Weston. The family includes: her son, Charles Rhinehart and wife Tina of Kansas City, Missouri; sister Alma Hale of White Oak; sister in-law, Hazel Giyer of Miami; grandchildren, Jason Henderson, Cara Taylor, Fara Rhinehart, Kyle and Jake Rhinehart; great-granddaughter Jaycee Lynn Henderson; also numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Monday January 7, 2013 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the Luginbuel Chapel with Rev. George Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at the White Oak Cemetery.
