Emily Henry

Emily Louise Henry, 88 years old, died July 4, 2009 in Blackwell Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at Ball Cemetery Wednesday 10:00 a.m. with Todd Brock officiating. Services are under direction of Benjamin Funeral Home. Emily Henry was born December 11, 1920 in Okeene, Oklahoma to John and Emma (Link) Tautfest. She worked as a cook at the Bliss Restaurant for 25 years in Nowata before retiring. She was well known for her pies served at the Bliss. Survivors of Emily are two sons Bob Henry and wife Stacey of McAlester, OK and Lester and wife Angie of Keizer, Oregon; a daughter, Rena Riff and husband Don of Blackwell, OK; four sisters, Ella Marie Tautfest, Genny Hallett, Jerry Johnson all of Nowata and Susie Tylor of Dodge City, KS, twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Preceding Emily in death are her parents; one son, Donald Henry; three sisters, Dorothy Redmond, Eudora Hill and Ida Pauline Tautfest. Honorary Pallbearers will include her grandsons, Jimmy Henry, Bobby Henry, Adam Henry, Jesse Henry, Doug Barnes, Don Riff, Jr., Wade Forsyth, Mike Henry, and Mark Henry. Donations can be made in Emily's name to the First Baptist Church at 433 North Mississippi Nowata, OK 74048.
