Emma Lee Turnbough, 64, went to be with her Lord, on Sunday, May 26, 2013, while surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Vinita. She was born on March 18, 1949 to Rosie (Johnson) and Laverne Tanner in Vinita. Emma grew up in Vinita and on March 6, 1965 she married Carl Turnbough, Sr. Emma was a home maker, she loved spending time with her friends and family, most of all spoiling her great-grandbabies. She attended the Dupree Baptist Church where she never missed a chance to serve God. Emma loved to share her Godly talents by making and giving away quilts to the Salvation Army, friends and family. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl Turnbough, Sr., son Jere Turnbough, grandson Joseph Reed and many other family and loved ones. Her loving spirit will be remembered by; her sister, Ola McFarland; her children, Johnny Turnbough and wife Rose, Terry Dameron and husband Tommy, Carl Turnbough and wife Tina, Juanita Reed and husband Edward, Danny Turnbough & Laura Terry, Edna Sumner and husband Shannon, all of Vinita, David Turnbough of Sallisaw; twenty-four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; a very special friend Debbie Siegel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Luginbuel Chapel. The funeral service will be held Friday, May 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel, with Rev. George Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa, Kansas. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
