Emma Wiggins

December 23, 1925 — May 26, 2012

Emma Louise Wiggins, (86) formally of Nowata, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012, at her home in Petty, Texas. She was born December 23, 1925, in Vinita, Oklahoma, to Walter and Pearl (Arms) Beisley. She graduated from Centralia Schools and on September 10, 1945 she married Joe John Wiggins in Independence, Kansas. They lived in the Coffeyville area for two years before moving to Nowata where they lived until Joe passed away in 1990, and she remained until 2003, at which time she moved to Paris, Texas. Mrs. Wiggins was a member of the First Church of God and was very dedicated to serving the Lord. She loved her church family and spent hours worshiping and fellowshipping with them. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and trying new recipes for her family. Next to her Lord, her family was the most important love in her heart. She loved taking care of her husband, children, and grandchildren making sure they all knew they were dear to her heart. She was a friend to all and will be missed by all who knew her. Preceding Mrs. Wiggins in death are her parents, Walter and Pearl Beisley; her husband Joe Wiggins; a brother Raymond Beisley; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Beisley. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Boevers and husband Gary, of Vinita, Janice Storm and husband Fred, of South Coffeyville; grandchildren, Cari Boevers, Christy McGehee, Cassie Hayton, Gary Joe Boevers, Cathy Lumm, Doug Storm; many great grandchildren; brothers, Willard Beisley of Vinita, Marvin Beisley of Ketchum, Oklahoma, Robert Beisley of Nowata; a sister, Linda Nail of Dallas, Texas; many other relatives and a host of friends.
