Eric Dean Crittenden, 38 year old Leach resident, died Sunday, January 14, 2007 at his home after and extended illness. He was born February 20, 1968 in Tahlequah to Buster and Leona (Youngpuppy) Crittenden. He had worked for a flooring company in Gentry, Arkansas, until his health forced his retirement. Eric married Sheila Hutchins on July 10, 1991 in Benton County, Arkansas. They had lived in the Leach area for the past 15 years, Eric was a member of the Long Prairie Baptist Church. The family includes; his wife Sheila of the home, his mother, Leona Crittenden, a sister, Amy Israel, a brother Perry Crittenden all of Leach; four nieces and five nephews, plus numerous other relative also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Buster Crittenden and a brother, Gary Crittenden in 1989. The funeral will be held Monday, January 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Long Prairie Baptist Church with Gerald Fixin and George Cockran officiating. Interment will follow at the Chewey-Crittenden Cemetery at Chewey. Casket bearers will be, Thomas Davis, Tootie Smith, Bolo Smith, Dewayne Crittenden, Harold Osage, Perry Crittenden, Cletus Mouse, and J. R. Fields.
