Esther Marie Lahtinen, 75, of Nowata, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at her home. Esther was born on March 28, 1936 to Vallie Hanson and Cordelia Sitnah (McNees) Marsland in Norwich, Kansas. Esther graduated high school from Cheney, Kansas and went on to be an Executive Secretary for Martin Marietta Aircraft Manufacturing Company in Marietta, Georgia. She had lived in the Nowata area for the last ten years. Esther had many hobbies she enjoyed. She loved to play cards and Bingo. She also liked to go camping and take RV trips. She will be missed by all who knew her. Esther is survived by a sister, Verle Groom of Douglas, Kansas and special friends Ted and Tonya Miller of Delaware, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vallie and Cordelia Marsland and a brother, Dennis Wayne Marsland.
