Ethan Myers

Ethan Clark Myers 19 year-old Vinita resident died in an automobile accident, on Thursday April 30, 2009 on Monkey Island. He was born August 4, 1989 in Vinita to Matthew Clark Myers and Dawnie Dianna (Keith). Ethan attended school and graduated from Vinita Public Schools, he was currently in his second year at N.E.O. A & M in Miami. Ethan was an Eagle Scout (2005) and served as a scouting chief Order of the Arrow, and chief of the Washita Lodge. In high school he played football, was a member of the 2007 state runner-up power lifting team, the Craig County 4-H and was a member of the 4-H Hall of Fame. The family includes: his parents, Matthew Myers of Vinita, Dawnie Mahurin and husband Randy of Fairland; brother Matthew Simmons of Wyandotte, sister Carley Mahurin of Fairland; grandparents, Lyman and Erlita Myers of Vinita, Donald Keith and wife Georgette of Kansas City, Bob and Opal Mahurin of Fairland, great-grandmother Mildred Keith of Kansas City; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The memorial service will be held, Wednesday May 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Cowboy Junction, with Pastor Bill Beard officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
