Ethel Mildred Clark, 92-year-old Claremore resident, passed away February 3, 2010 at the Claremore Nursing Home. Ethel Clark was born September 20, 1917 in Talala, Oklahoma to George W. Clark and Mary Ann Foreman-Clark. She grew up and attended schools in Talala. She provided care for her mother for several years and later worked for the Osage Nursing Home and for the Hays House. Mrs. Clark attended the First Christian Church in Nowata where she was very active until she had to enter the nursing home for care. Over the years she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and cooking. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Clark was known to be a very independent woman who never missed an opportunity to help out when needed. Mrs. Clark is survived by a niece, Mary Holt and her husband Harley of Claremore; by two nephews, Henry Willis and his wife Norma of Collinsville, and Bob Willis of Grand Prairie, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; by a sister, Olive Willis-Trissell; and by four brothers, Bill Clark, Ausie Clark, Wayne Clark, and Jimmy Clark.
