Ethel Cowan

Ethel F. Cowan, age 80, a Bartlesville, died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Jane Phillips Medical Center. Mrs. Cowan was born in Dewey, May 8, 1927, the daughter of James and Anna Elliott and attended local schools. As a young woman she and Wallace ‘Wally' Cowan were united in marriage February 1, 1946. Following a long career at Phillips Petroleum Company, she retired in 1985. Mrs. Cowan is preceded in death by her husband Charles Walter Wallace ‘Wally' Cowan (1996) and daughter Janis Kay Cowan-Anderson (1989). Mrs. Cowan is survived by her two grandchildren, Jayme Dawn Scimeca and her husband Rob Burns and Wallace Todd Anderson and his wife Gina of Topeka, Kansas, four grandchildren Kaylee Scimeca, Alan Scimeca, Ashton Anderson and Carly Anderson. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Cowan will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2008 in the Dewey Cemetery with Rev. Josh Eaton officiating.
