Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222.Eugene Summerfield, 72, lifetime resident of Eucha, Oklahoma went to be with Jesus on June 23, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Integris Grove General Hospital. Eugene was born on April 8, 1943 he was the son of Sanders and Lizzie (McLaughlin) Summerfield. He worked at many places and accomplished many trades but most of all he loved working at Cobb Industries where he would retire. He had many-many friends. Eugene was an outdoors person and loved working in the yard. He enjoyed family dinners and spending time with his grandchildren, dancing and watching wrestling. Eugene was the best father, father in-law and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Neva Summerfield, and a brother Jim Summerfield. Eugene will be greatly missed by his family; Jeffery Chunstudey of Salina, Oklahoma, Sandra Summerfield-Goins and her husband Randy of Eucha, Oklahoma, Paul Leaf and his wife Janette of Salina, Oklahoma, Phillip Summerfield and his wife Tiffany of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jeanie Beth Summerfield of Eucha, Oklahoma, two brothers Jess Summerfield and his wife Mary and John Summerfield and his wife Josephine all of Eucha, Oklahoma, one sister Lucy Ann Vance of Tulsa, Oklahoma and sister in-law Sherry Summerfield. Eugene was blessed with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many, many more family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 29, 2015 at Hillside Baptist Church in Eucha, Oklahoma with Pastor Lauren Beck officiating. Eugene will laid to rest at the Hillside Cemetery.
