Eutoka Freeman

January 20, 1922 — May 30, 2011

Eutoka M. "Toke" Freeman, eighty-nine year old lifetime resident of Grove passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011 at Integris Grove General Hospital. She was born on January 20, 1922 in Grove to Jess and Maude (Clanton) Landrum. Toke's husband Jim Freeman preceded her in death on November 1, 1998. She worked as an egg handler for the Nichols Egg plants for years, was a member of Grove's First Baptist Church since the 1960's. Mrs. Freeman loved to walk; she would walk four or five miles a day. She also loved her church. Toke was preceded in death by her son Dwain Vice, her husband Jim Freeman, parents Jess and Maude Landrum, and one brother Rex Landrum. Survivors include her daughter in law Judy Vice of Grove, a brother GT Landrum and his wife Loyetta of Jay, a grandson Vance Vice and his wife Kerry along with three great grandchildren Savannah, Brock and Sydni Vice. Visitation for Toke will be on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Mrs. Freeman's funeral services will be Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Grove's First Baptist Church with Reverend James Wilder and Reverend Earl Cumbie officiating. Interment will follow in the Olympus Cemetery under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
