Evah Lois Sturm, former Bartlesville resident and widow of Paul Sturm, died April 15, 2010, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida after a brief illness. Mrs. Sturm, 91, was born at Enid, Oklahoma to Earl and Helen Young. She graduated from Stillwater High School and attended Oklahoma State University majoring in Home Economics. On May 28, 1939, she married Paul Sturm in Stillwater, and they made their home in Bartlesville where he became employed with First National Bank. She was an active member of First Christian Church, a member of CWF, and Director of the church nursery for many years. She volunteered for CONCERN and was formerly employed at Jewell Bergin's Day Care Center. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 23, 2010 at First Christian Church of Bartlesville with Rev. Dennis Voth officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Sturm will be held Wednesday and Thursday at the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com. Mrs. Sturm was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sturm; her parents, Earl and Helen Young; brother Ralph Young; and brother Wilfred Earl Young, Jr. Survivors include: Son Dr. Gene P. Sturm, Jr. and wife, Phyllis of Bartlesville; son Rev. Dr. Richard E. Sturm of Brooklyn, New York; daughter Mary Helen Sturm of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; grandchildren Dr. Mike Sturm and wife, Cindy, of Edmond, Oklahoma; Mark Sturm and wife, Stacy, of Allen, Texas; Parzham Jatala, Pezhman Jatala, and August cook of Miami, Florida; granddaughter Parya Jatala of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. currently residing in Chile; five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Katie and Luke Sturm of Edmond, Oklahoma; Joshua Sturm of Allen, Texas; brother Bill Young and wife Edna of Midwest City, and sister June English of Bayfield, CO, numerous nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
