Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555 -- Faye M. (Farmer) Walker, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2014 in Kansas City at the age of 83 years old. She was born on July 26, 1931 to James H. Farmer and Mary (Becker) Farmer. Faye attended Winfrey School, Bluejacket school, and graduated from Vinita High School. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company on February 16th, 1980, with 30 years, 7 months and 25 days of service in the Tulsa office. Earlier she worked in a grocery store at Timber Hill and a little over 2 years at McClellan's Store. On January 12th, 1957 she married Clarence Walker at the home of Rev. W. D. Collins and his wife, had Mr. Walker lived till the12th of January 1998 they would have been married 41 years. Preceding her in death were four half-brothers, Earl, Carl, Sam and Cecil Farmer, her parents, two sisters, Nellie Beall and Betty Seabolt, three half-sisters, Lula Montgomery, Beth Goyer, Ethel Bilyeu, her mother and father in-law, Bill and Fannie Walker. Surviving family includes: a brother, Henry Lee Farmer and wife Carol of Overland Park, Kansas, a step-son, Rick Walker and wife Sharon, a step-daughter, Doran Hendren all of Vinita; a brother in-law, Ed Seabolt of Welch; grandchildren, David Johnson, Stephanie Jordan and husband Stephen, Debra Walker; great-grandchildren, Kaycee Johnson, Haydon Foust, Olivia Faye Walker, Chelsey and Alex Jordan, Kayty Walker; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Vinita. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Trinity Baptist Church, with Pastor Leon Landrum officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita.
