Frank Lawhead passed from this life Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., in Grove, Oklahoma. He worked as a television repairman in Chicago before moving back to Delaware County. Frank Lawhead was born on February 1, 1920 at Braggs, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Air Force from 1941 till 1957 separating with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He received the American Defense Service Medal, American Theater Campaign Medal, Fame Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Frank enjoyed reading his Bible and at every opportunity, sharing God's word with others. Frank was preceded in death by his parents James Harvey Lawhead and Lila (White) Lawhead; the sisters, Edna Six, Lily Rethorst and Geneva Barnwell McGuire. Frank is survived by his family and friends. A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Graveside Funeral services for Frank Lawhead will be held Friday, January 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Round Springs Cemetery, Eucha, Oklahoma with Reverend J.D. Dry officiating.
