Frank Andrew Tyler, age 75 of Vinita, died Saturday, January 1, 2011. Frank was born in Emporia, KS on November 8, 1935 the son of William Andrew Tyler, Sr. and Thelma Armsteade. He served in the United States Army for 21 years, retiring as a Nuclear Missile Instructor. After retirement he worked as a dispatcher for the Vinita Police Department. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the United Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Frank enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, and collecting coins. Survivors include his wife Rhondah Tyler of the home, children: Norman "Tubby" Hardrick, Faye Hardrick, Roger Tyler and wife Dollie, Jerry Tyler and wife Deana, Frank Tyler Jr. and wife Debbie, William Tyler, Marvin Tyler, Charles Goolsby, and Jason Traver, sister Mary McDaniels, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and adopted families. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Harold Tyler and William Tyler Jr., and his first wife Virginia (Hardrick) Tyler. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Farris Downing officiating. Interment and Military Rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2011 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
