Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Franklin Louis Oler, 79-year-old resident of Anderson, Missouri, passed away on March 17, 2018 at Grove Nursing Center in Grove, Oklahoma. Franklin was born on September 14, 1938 in Iowa Falls, Iowa. He was the son of Paul Franklin Oler and Lois Ardelle (Wall) Oler. Franklin graduated in 1956 from Iowa Falls High School. Franklin proudly served in the United States Army Special Forces from 1960-1966. He was united in marriage to Edna Jean Eaton in September of 1963. He was a Civil Engineer and Geologist for the United States Corps of Engineers. Franklin was a member of the Association of Engineering Geologist, Pam-American Diving Club of Fort Gulick, a member of the Tulsa Computer Society and was a Private Pilot, which he greatly enjoyed. Franklin was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Edna Jean (Eaton) Oler. He leaves behind his son Steve Oler and his wife Lorraine of Anderson, Missouri, two daughters; Sharon Oler-Kelley of Glendale, Arizona and Samantha Oler of Wimauma, Florida, his brother Wayne Oler and his wife Margaret of Alden Iowa. Franklin was blessed with three granddaughters; Kaitlin Kelly, Shanley Kelley, and Asley Brinkley and grandson Tiernan Oler. Franklin was laid to rest on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 3:00 pm in Floral Haven Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
