Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Fred Freeman III, 75, passed away after a sudden illness on October 8, 2016 at his residence in Afton, Oklahoma. Fred was born on March 11, 1941 in Lovington, New Mexico. He was the son of Wilma Sue (West) and Fred Freeman, Jr. Fred loved boxing; he was once a Golden Glove boxer and state champion. Fred proudly served six years in the United States Army, during Vietnam. Fred was a retired Registered Psychiatric Nurse; earning his degree from the Nursing Program and NEO A&M in Miami, Oklahoma. He loved sports, especially the Texas Longhorns, and anyone that beat OU. Fred enjoyed teasing his family and friends, and had "special nicknames" for all of them. Fred was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Marie Kay of the home, three children Jeremy Krause of Marshall, MN, Dawn Isam and her husband Ed of Pineville, MO, Tracey Freeman-Spriggs and her husband Justin of Afton, Oklahoma, one sister Suzanne Good and her husband Bob of Ft. Worth, TX. Fred was blessed with nine grandchildren; Samantha Krause, Anthony Krause, Hailee Gwin, Brooke Spriggs, Faith Spriggs, Torah Spriggs and Kendal Spriggs, Dustin Krause and Brittany Krause, two great grandchildren Azaylie Krause and Emmett Spriggs, and his dearest nieces and nephews Michael Good of Allen, TX, Holly Good of New Orleans, LA. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma. Military honors will be provided by the Grove Ritual Team.
