Fred Smoke, age 62, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013. Fred was born in Spavinaw to Frank and Mary (Dreadfulwater) Smoke. On May 29, 1997 he was united in marriage to Debra Browning. Fred worked many years as a heavy equipment operator for Baker Construction. He enjoyed working on his old car, making indian crafts, going to pow-wows, picnicking, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife Debbie, step children: Ricky Dunn and wife Cindy of Adair, David Dunn of Vinita, and Crystal Crabtree of Langley, sister Lucille Nowlin of Vinita, and grandchildren: Christopher Dunn, Cody Dunn, Lonnie Wayne Dunn, Samantha Crabtree, and Zane Crabtree. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Stan Smoke, and sister Aggie Budder. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home in Langley. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Ribbon Baptist Church in Spavinaw. Interment will follow at Jack Ribbon Cemetery.
