Fred Fulbright 74, of Owasso passed on from this life on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the Bailey Medical Center in Owasso. Freddie Joe Fulbright was born on June 29, 1935 in Batesville, Arkansas to Earl Jeffrey and Myra (Cates) Fulbright. The family moved to Shreveport, LA in 1941. Following high school graduation, Fred married Elaine Marie Schexnaidre in February 19, 1955. They had three daughters, Anna Marie, Susan, and Denise. Fred enjoyed a very long career in sales and management for the Lance Company. A job promotion took the family to Tulsa in March 1969. Fred and Elaine adopted Kay, and then finally had a son, Jeff! Fred and Elaine were married for 24 years. Fred married Billie Marie Hobson on November 1, 1985 at the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Oologah, and gained another daughter, Jericho. He enjoyed spending his spare time with his son fishing. Fred had a passion for old cars and enjoyed buying and selling them which turned into a lifelong hobby. After 30 years Fred retired, making his main focus his family. Fred was better known to his beloved granddaughter, Anaya as her " Dot Dot". They had a very special relationship and a deep love for each other. Fred was loved dearly and will be missed greatly by those he touched the most. Fred is survived by his wife of 23 years; Billie Fulbright of the home, 6 children; Anna Marie Penix and her husband Bob of Tulsa, Susan Hull and her husband Ron of Tulsa, Denise Wright and her husband Bill of Tulsa, Jeff Fulbright and Jennifer of Tulsa, Kay Fulbright of Jenks, and Jericho Hobson and her husband Dahran Goudeau of Owasso, 8 grandchildren; Brady Penix, Callie Ingram and her husband Austin, Josh Richie, Haley Hopkins and her husband Kenny, Brian Hull, Ben Wright and his wife Amber, Katie Bollinger and her husband Billy, and Anaya Janae Marie Hobson, 5 great grandchildren; Forrest Hopkins, Cadence and Henry Wright, and Will and Bella Bollinger, 1 sister; Anna Lou Vaughn and her husband Barron of San Antonio, Texas, and numerous other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Myra Fulbright and his brother Bobby Lee Fulbright. A memorial service by the family will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2009 in the First Christian Church in Owasso with Pastor Dahran Goudeau officiating.
