G Brown

G Y Brown, 74 year old Langley area resident, died late Tuesday evening at his home. He was born April 18, 1937 in Spavinaw to Cecil and Mary (Hensley) Brown. G Y graduated from Ketchum High School. He married Betty Lou Echols on May 9, 1958 at the First Church of God in Vinita. G Y had worked for the Carpenters Union in Tulsa on many high rise buildings, and the last several years he was a self employed carpenter. G Y was a member of the Otterbein Methodist Church. He was a Ham Radio Operator and liked to hunt with his beagles. G Y loved being with his family, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family includes: his wife Betty Lou Brown of the home, three daughters, Belinda Kay Baker and friend Joe Tom Weaver of Ketchum, Brenda Lee Beisley and husband Bill of Ketchum, and Gayle Denise Thomas and husband Billy of Langley; brothers, Homer Brown and wife Loretta of Langley, Buddie Brown and wife Kathryn of Langley, Bill Brown and wife Jalia of Pueblo, Colorado; brother in-laws, P. J. Baldwin of Spavinaw and Larry Echols of Vinita; Grandchildren, Cassie Baker, Brooke Smith and husband Chance, Bradley Baker, Billy Beisley and wife Ashley, Ryan Conner and wife Terri, Marshall Conner and friend Jenny Senters, Ashley Baker, Chance Thomas, Monica Thomas; Great-grandchildren, C. J. and Kylie McCord, Brendan and Chloe Smith, Krystin Conner, Landon and Logan Beisley. Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister, Geneva Baldwin, sister in-law, Kathryn Kastler. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home of Langley. The casket bearers will be Grandson's, Chance Thomas, Bradley Baker, Billy Beisley, Ryan Connor, Marshall Connor and Chance Smith. Honorable Pall Bearers: Great Grandson's: CJ McCord, Brendan Smith Landon Beisley and Logan Beisley The funeral service will be held Monday, April 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Otterbein Methodist Church, with Pastor Jim Bradford officiating. Interment will follow at the Military Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home of Langley. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
