Galan Legner

Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita 918-256-5555: Galan A. Legner, 82 years old of Vinita, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Heartsworth Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 17, 1933 in Streator, Illinois to George and Tillie Legner. Galan served his country in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged. He had worked for Anthony Truck Body Company and retired from Vactor Industrial Vacum Trucks. Galan lived in Streator many years before moving to Tampa, Florida for approximately 20 years, and then moved to Northeast Oklahoma in 2010. He enjoyed fishing, cats and dogs, listening to Elvis and working at the race track in Tampa. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Galan Legner in 1975, great-grandchild, Emmie Ruberstell and a nephew. The family includes: his daughter, Gala Malone and husband Eugene of Vinita, his friend and former wife Carolyn of Vinita; a brother Clem Legner of Georgia; grandchildren, Bryan Ruberstell and Nikki (Ruberstell) Holt; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Brianna, Dante and Trinity Ruberstell.
